Oh! Why can't we all be as perfect as you?
if so, I believe, we could reach to the moon
Dreams and love would never end too soon
we could all get a head, we could all get a clue
Oh! why can't we all be as perfect as you?
Why can't our beauty be only matched with our wit
why can't we all be so energetic and fit
Our selflessness and compassion matched only by our wit
Your chin held high, your perfection you so easily admit
Why can't we all be as perfect as you
good jobs and love, good grades in school
assuming everyone below is no more than a fool
so easily budged, so easily moved
Yes, why can't we all be as perfect as you
Why can't we all struggle to believe
that this life, this horror, is no more than a dream
that an escape, a blanket, will easily achieve
to overshadow the life in reality we lead
covet, sloth, envy and greed
it's not life to handle, no life for me
perfection fiction, vacant of reality
I would rather be real
I'd rather be me
I'll accept the challenge, what life throws at me
it won't be perfect, but I'll prosper and achieve
I may feel frustration, and fall to my knees
but I'll rise up, that is the key :)
