Today is perfection
as the sun beams through the trees
reflecting off my eyes
like light off the sea
Not a cloud in the sky
the vast light hue of blue seems to stretch forever
giving the ideal backdrop
for this mountainous landscape
The air is crisp, cool
to breathe it deep into my lungs is a pleasure
for every breath of the fresh cut grass
is more valuable than any known treasure
The grass and tree's set the scene
as the hues of green fade to the colors of fall
it's a feast for the eyes
that few of us notice at all
Today is perfection
a re-energizing morning to wake to
For every day in this beautiful month
I can only hope the feeling looms
